José Deras - is our Technical Service Engineer, overseeing the operation and treatment of boilers and other equipment for the sugar industry, both domestically and in Central America. José earned his B.S. in Agricultural Engineering from the University of El Salvador and his M.S. in Agricultural Engineering from New Mexico State University. José has several publications and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. at Louisiana State University.

Constantino (Speedy) Gonzalez is a native of Cuba, receiving a B.S. in Chemistry from Universidad Central de las Villas in Santa Clara and a Sugar Chemistry degree from R.R.P.P. Dominican School, Cienfuegos, Cuba. Before joining Gulf, he worked in several laboratory positions from lab sampler to Chief Chemist at sugar mills in the U.S. and Cuba. After immigrating to the U.S., Constantino joined Gulf Engineering and has served in several positions over 40-year career, including laboratory chemist, service engineer and district manager. He has traveled to over a dozen Central and South American countries to service customers and keep up with the constant changes in the sugar industry.
