Gulf Engineering can take on just about any machining job. Here is a sampling of our equipment and capabilities:
Milling Machines
5" bar x 72" vertical travel x 110" table travel plus 60" x 120" table - one-pass milling height 79" and range up to our 7" bar floor mill with 10' of vertical travel x 20' horizontal travel, up to 100,000 pound weight capacity.
- CNC Horizontal Mill, axis travel = X-100", Y-72" & Z-20", holes up to 1" diameter and 7" deep, max weight 12,000 lbs is ideal for heat exchanger tubesheet and baffle drilling
- Vertical Boring Mills - 100" swing - 68-3/4" under rail to 171" swing - 93" under rail
- Keyway milling - external - all sizes; internal 2" by 15" long
Drilling
- Radial Drill Presses to 15" column 60" arm, 60" height, #5 Morse taper
- Horizontal Boring Mills 5" and 7" spindles
Turning
Gulf Engineering has one of the largest lathes in the region. Our lathes range from 10" swing - 3' between centers to 105" swing 41' between centers with weight capacities to 100,000 lbs
Grinding
- Cylindrical to 24" dia x 96" long - OD, ID, and through-feed and plunge-feed centerless
- Surface to 20"x 60"
- Tool Post - all machines - (to 5 HP x 12" wheel)
Our Field Services include inspection of compressors, pumps and turbine generating units as well as vibration analysis and field balancing. Our portable machining equipment includes Hougan and Bux drills; small, medium & large facing equipment to 42" large ring flange facer up to 60" portable mill and keymill.
