Environmental Health & Safety

The safety of our employees is a prime concern. Our policies, training and record show that we are committed to the highest level of safety. We make a daily effort to ensure we are constantly improving our performance regarding the health and safety of our employees and customers as well as our impact on the environment.

Training Our employees receive regular safety training on topics most related to their jobs as well as some a little more general. We believe that "accidents" are preventable and that a constant and improving level of awareness of hazards around us is the best way to decrease our risk of incidents occurring.

Policies Gulf Engineering insists on a drug-free workplace. We randomly test all our employees to make sure this policy is followed. We comply with all local, state and Federal laws and regulations regarding workplace safety, hazard communication, transportation safety and environmental issues. We formulate our water treatment and cleaning products to minimize their impact on the environment, to be biodegradable as much as possible and to give our customers a choice.

The safety of our customers is no less a concern than that of our employees. Every customer that receives materials or chemicals in the course of business with Gulf Engineering receives all applicable Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for their information and compliance with OSHA regulations.

Record Our customers come back to us time and time again because of our outstanding service while working safely at their sites or ours. Gulf Engineering is regularly recognized by our customers for the safe and efficient completion of jobs and projects. Gulf has earned the Contractor Safety Award from the Greater Baton Rouge Industry Alliance (GBRIA) in 2003, 2004 and 2005.
